At tonight’s business meeting the membership and new officers revised the bylaws in a few key ways:
- Monthly meetings are now going to be social events, either just a get-together (possibly with a discussion topic planned) or with a speaker or event.
- Business of our local affiliate will be conducted by officers between annual member business meetings where new officers will be elected and bylaws can be amended.
- Members (at least 6) can call for an off-schedule meeting to recall an officer, revise the bylaws, or question a decision of the officers.
- Mission Statement added to bylaws.
We hope that this new direction will allow for more participation from our membership, more flexibility in meeting their demands, and more growth in our support network.
